Wow oh wow.
We’re really just getting our first good look at our newly acquired (ahem) “project” bike.. a 1988 Honda Hawk NT650. If you’re not familiar with this particular jem of the late 80’s….. we're not surprised. It’s production only lasted 3 years, it frankly didn’t sell well here in the states. It’s a V-twin powered naked sport bike outputting a modest 58 hp stock. (maybe not that exciting... but it does boast a single sided swingarm kids!) For a bike that only survived 3 years before Honda ended it production (due to lackluster sales one can only assume), it’s really developed a cult following here in the states. Hop-up parts abound!
Over the next few months, we’ll be taking her from “hot mess” to Track Princess.
Wish us luck, because now that we finally have gotten a good look at the thing.. We’re sure gonna need your “thoughts and prayers” sent our way.
In the meantime, enjoy all the glamor shots we took for you . 🤦♀️

Well, I'm going to have to admit besides cleaning the carbs & gettin' us a runner, we've been falling a little bit behind in our Hawk build. Not to say we aren't constantly thinking🧠 about it!
Case in point: We have a clearer idea where were headed now that our resident designer put a sketch together for us. (Thanks @cna67 )
We're also going to go USD for the front fork & have seen VFR Rear wheels successfully adapted for the rear.... that means a honkin' 180 in the back gents!
Now we're talking.
Check out that event here: CLASSIC TRACK DAY
Until the next update!
